4 More Pages

I found these ones in a box of 12 x 12 layouts so they havn’t seen the light of day for a while. Instead of the normal doubles, these are all individual pages but they could easily be made into doubles.

Very simple but nice additions to my album.

Just Fun

This time I made use of a 3/4” circle punch (I used the orange Woodware punch) to make the centre of the flowers and then used a black pen to doodle the petals, stems and leaves.

The green stripe shape was hand drawn on the back of the paper and then cut out with scissors. Again it was a doodled shape.

The dots in the border were drawn with a white gel pen.

More coming soon. x

London

This year I have used Papermanias British papers to death. I absolutely love them and have made loads of projects.

The die cut shield shapes are ideal for an 8 x 8 page.

And the post box and telephone box are some of my many British stamps, coloured in with Pro Markers.

Dinner With Friends

This time I used one of my stamps, versamark ink and gold embossing powder to make a continuous background across the two pages.

I thought this double could be used perhaps for photos of a night out with friends for Chinese.

The Glinka leaves are from a very old wooden stamp I found in a box.

Thanks for looking. x

White space is good

and as those of you who come to class know, I often try to make at least one layout using white as my background.

I have loads (and loads and loads……) of stamps, in fact they are my passion, and I don’t get to use enough of them.

For these two single layouts I made the backgrounds using stamps and masks and then chose bold papers to finish them off. You only need a few scraps of paper so if you are hoarding small pieces of that special paper, this is a great way to use it yp.

I am really into Lime green this year so this was a good choice for me.

Don’t forget, if you are adding a tag pocket, use foam pads or tape to lift the pocket slightly. That way the tag will slide in and out smoothly.

I promise I will try to add pages to this blog more frequently now that I am back in the crafting world again. Hugs xx

Fabric is good

even on 8 x 8 pages as we all found out last Saturday afternoon. We all have loads of material, if not new, then old clothes that no longer fit or perhaps something special that evokes a special memory and that we can’t bear to throw away.

Using the fabric as part of your scrapbook page is a great way of keeping that memory where just the slightest touch of the fabric brings back the past.

Here are a few 8  x 8 layouts I made for the class. They aren’t hard but as everyone found out, very time consuming  or as I like to say “Pleasurable”

Banners are in

The card challenge over on our Scrapbook Sisters Blog is Banners so it made sense to use the same idea for this weeks 8 x 8 page class.

Here is the first double

Just a reminder

For those of you who are making 8 x 8 layouts you can buy 8 x 8 scrapbooks but they fill up really quickly. I am teaching a class on Thursday 12th July from 7pm to 9pm where I will show you how to make your own albums from scratch.

Once you have mastered how to do it them you can make albums of any size.

You can see my examples from previous classes HERE and HERE and if you want to book a place click HERE.

These albums look professionally made and you can decorate them to compliment the theme of your pages.

Hope to see you there. xx

Concertina flowers

Using this lovely Sizzix die helped make this page however always bear in mind that one of two thicker embellishments will work but add too many and your album won’t shut when you add your pages.

The scallop edge is one of my favourite punches. Pity I can’t find it under all my craft stuff. Note to Self – must tidy up.

Silhouette

Yes I’m a machine fan, Craft Robe, Sizzix, Cricut, you name it, I use it. This little beauty was cut out using the Cricut.

I use silhouettes a lot in my smaller albums.

Stamping……my favourite

In both if these pages I have cut around the flowers and slid the blue paper underneath the flower heads.

This is a beautiful stamp and using the stamp on white background with just the blue paper would make a great album.
